Mariah Smiley
President/Founder
Mariah founded Drops of Love and began raising money and funding wells in 2009 at the age of 14 when she learned about the world-wide water crisis. In 2012, when Mariah was just 17, she expanded Drops of Love’s impact by forming it as an official non-profit corporation. Mariah has a passion for clean water and speaks at various venues and organizes successful fundraisers while balancing school, church and other activities. Mariah has been featured in a best selling book Stand Up! by John Schlimm as well as various magazines and newspapers representing Drops of Love and is committed to growing Drops of Love until the whole world has clean drinking water. Mariah is currently a senior in Mays Business School majoring in Management Information Systems at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and accepted a job at Tesoro Corporation after graduation.
Garrett Smiley
Vice-President
Garrett is currently a sophomore at Georgia Institute of Technology majoring in Computer Science. Garrett has been involved with most aspects of Drops of Love since its inception. Garrett is an eager learner and leverages his interests in physics, engineering, and computers to help Drops of Love reach potential supporters. He is passionate about philanthropy and hopes to use his education, experiences and skills to further benefit the less-fortunate.
Dale Murray Sullivan
Director of Marketing and Public Relations
Dale is a fourth generation Californian who now resides in San Antonio, Texas. She is a graduate of California State University Fresno with a BS in Political Science. She worked for a Public Utility and Communications Company; her responsibilities included Government Relations, Major Sales and Marketing, Product Development and Training and Public Relations. She brings 25 years of management experience to Drops of Love. Upon retirement she served on the Lay Advisory Board of the Marianist Province of the Pacific, her parish council and the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction, and The Salvation Army Women's Center. She enjoys traveling with her husband Paul and spending time with family and grandchildren. She volunteers at her local library and has established a jail ministry for women in her county jail.
Roy Nisja
Director of Outreach
Roy is an active volunteer at his church and at various other charities. He created a program to sell plush animals and other items and donate the profits to Drops of Love. Roy lives in San Rafael, California.
Mary Smiley
Secretary
Mary was born and raised in Minnesota on a family farm and has worked at the Veterans Hospital as well as at Hartford Insurance Company. Mary is married to a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant and has lived in various locations in the United States as well as in Spain. Mary and her husband continue to run a successful Amway business as they have for over 40 years and she is active in the church, serving as Church Council Secretary, Women’s Group President, Vacation Bible School teacher and Bible study leader. Mary lives with her husband of 45 years in San Antonio, Texas and they enjoy traveling the world and spending time with their two children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kelli Smiley
Treasurer
Kelli is Mariah and Garrett's mother and has assisted in this project since the beginning, helping turn their goals into reality. Kelli is also a Colonel in the Air Force, currently serving at Buckley AFB, Colorado. Kelli is a graduate from the United States Air Force Academy (B.S. Behavioral Sciences) and has a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Regis University. Kelli lives with her husband (Mariah and Garrett's Dad) Scott in Aurora, Colorado.
Kent Krabill
Legal Advisor
Kent graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington and earned a J.D., magna cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law. While attending law school, Mr. Krabill served as a Note and Comment Editor on the Pepperdine Law Review, a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing, a member of the Honors Trial Team, and won the Vincent S. Dalsimer Moot Court Competition. Kent currently works for Lynn Tillotson Pinker & Cox, LLP, and before that he served as law clerk to Chief Judge Edith H. Jones of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He also practiced law for the Dallas office of Jones Day. Kent is licensed to practice law in Texas and Arizona, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. Kent was introduced to Mariah through his wife on a well-drilling trip sponsored by Drops of Love. Since that time, Kent has volunteered his legal expertise to help Mariah grow Drops of Love into a corporation and achieve her vision. Kent is married to Michelle Krabill and they have a son and a daughter, and currently reside in Grand Prairie, TX.
